Snapshot of a lovely day

We (Asher and Ian and I) are at Sharon Woods having a picnic. You wouldn't know that it is supposed to end up stormy and chilly later. Spring feels magical after such a long, drawn-out winter.

Gorman Heritage Farm

This is one corner of the children's garden here. The Gorman Farm is about ten minutes from our house. The big boys are going to camp here this summer. In this section of the little children's garden is a big digging area, bins of mulch (where Asher is in this picture), the potting bench, a play house, and big old tractor tires as gardens/sandboxes. It is equipped with wheelbarrows, shovels, buckets, benches, chairs, and gardening tools. We've not been to this section before, and I'm really impressed with it! We will definitely be back!

This year with Frog and Toad

It seems that at least once each year Asher climbs up on Frog and Toad and says, "Take my picture, Mama!" So here is 2013.1.

He is getting so big! 15 weeks old today! It is a lovely day, so we are about to head to the fairy garden (Highfield Discovery Garden). We haven't been there since early fall, and we now have to limit ourselves to times when Joel is otherwise occupied, since I've recently been informed that he is too old to go.
